Last Saturday, October 31st, Hilton Reykjavik Nordica received SITE‘s prestigious Crystal Award for an exceptional motivational program of a group of 200 guests who stayed at our hotel in May. SITE is the biggest global network of meetings and events professionals, counting over 2000 members from 87 countries. This recognition serves as a benchmark for international events and is regarded as the highest honour in the travel industry.

Hilton Reykjavik Nordica shares the award with Harith Productions, a multiwinning US event organizer, but it was an Icelandic event company called Practical that assisted their US colleagues with the operation of the event at the Hilton hotel.

The hotel manager of Hilton Reykjavik Nordica; Mr. Ingolfur Haraldsson, and the manager of Practical, Mrs. Marin Magnusdottir, accepted the award at a luncheon held in Aruba in the Caribbean. This recognition further strengthens our attempts in introducing Iceland and our hotel as the ideal venue for bigger events, incentives and conferences. Iceland has now received an honourable place at the international table of the global SITE community. This is something which we intend to maximize to the fullest in our global marketing of Iceland and Hilton Reykjavik Nordica in the near future.
